“PETER THE GREAT” 6-BED MIXED DORM WITH PRIVATE BATHROOM
6-bed mixed room with private bathroom.
“Can I force anyone to move forward if I am not ahead of everybody?”
Peter the Great was the first Russian Emperor and one of the most controversial figures in the history. Thanks to him, we can enjoy the beauty and grandeur of our lovely city; it was Peter I who “opened a window to Europe”, founding St. Petersburg. Later he has made it the main port city of Russia.
Without Peter the Great there would be no potatoes, tulips and coffee. But one of the emperor’s reforms would hardly be appreciated by today’s youth – the obligation to shave beards.
The death of the tsar was tragic: returning from a trip to Shlisselburg in November 1724, he found a stranded ship with sinking people and caught cold in ice water, saving them. “When a man is in the water up to his neck, it is natural to think only about saving a life, forgetting everything else,” – he said.
Luxury fretwork, a fireplace with the Great Emperor’s a bust, dark wood and anchors on the bedside curtains, as well as private bathroom – what more could you ask for?
